Takahito started to play the taiko under the influence of his father when he was a schoolboy. He became a member of KODO in 1994 and had been a taiko player until he left in 2000. He formed a music unit BURAI afterwards and now isnﾕt only a main taiko player but also a composer and producer.
He, as a soloist, actively collaborates with various artists, such as having session with other taiko players and joining performances with drum synthesizer, shamisen and dancing. He also gives taiko lessons in Kyoto, Osaka and his home town.
